Starting Out
I started working with Wycliffe over 40 years ago! Originally I was assigned to work in language survey in Cameroon, Africa. In order to work in Cameroon, I needed to learn French.
I spent part of my first term (1987-1991) learning French in Grenoble, France, and in my first month there I met this beautiful single woman, DeEtte. We married in 1991 and have been blessed with three wonderful children.
So much time has passed, but it often seems like just yesterday - especially when we look at videos like this from our first "Family" mission assignment in Cameroon in 2002:

Thanking God and You
A lot of things have changed in our mission lives in 40 years, but two things have remained constant: God and you (our partners)! In Philippians 1:3-5 it says:
I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now,
Looking back, I'm not sure we have said thank you enough. THANK YOU!
Please know that we do appreciate all that you have done, and continue to do, for us, for Bible translation, and for the Lord.
