What is a "Sent One"?
“Set apart for Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them” is what the Holy Spirit speaks to the church in Antioch in Acts 13:2. In Romans 10:15, Paul speaks of those who are called to go and preach, saying, "And how are they to preach unless they are sent?" The church in Antioch sent Paul on several missionary journeys and then he returned to report on all that God did.
What an encouragement that God calls churches to send missionaries - "sent ones" - to accomplish His work. I could not do my work with Wycliffe without the individuals and churches that partner with me monthly - I thank God for the five churches partnering with me.
Reporting to two churches in Oregon in March
From March 20-29, I'm coming to Oregon to visit my 93-year old dad and also to spend time with a couple of the churches which have sent me out.
Crossroads Church (1531 Pacific Ave., Forest Grove, OR) features a missionary each month and Pastor Doug invited me to come and share on March 22. If you can join us for one of their morning services, it would be great to see you!
Calvary Chapel Worship Center (6550 SE Alexander St., Hillsboro, OR) invited me to come and meet members and give a brief update of my work. Starting on Saturday evening, March 28, and then at the four services on Sunday, March 29, I'll give a brief update. I would love to talk with you between services and hear how God is working in your life. I hope to see you then!
Pray that my time with the brothers and sisters at these two churches will be an encouragement and blessing to many. Pray the Lord allows me to minister with those He chooses, with wisdom and grace. Pray that I would be an encouragement to my father who now lives at a home in Salem.

Moloko New Testament Dedication Update
As I said in my previous blog, the Moloko New Testament that we began in 1996 is being printed and will be dedicated later this year (probably in November). We don't have an actual date yet but when the translation committee tells us when it'll be, we'll let you know. If God is leading you to come with us to witness this once-in-a-life-time event, let me know of your interest so I can update you with more details!
Pray for the churches in Moloko-land to be preparing their members to receive the printed Word in their language. Pray for the hearts of many to be ready to receive this gift. Pray about joining us for this trip to Cameroon to celebrate with Moloko Christians!
